‘Clay and Graze’ is the pottery version of a Paint and Sip! Learn how to make simple vessel forms on the pottery wheel in a fun and friendly class and get spoiled with local food and wine, too.
These sessions run for three hours and usually take place on selected weekend days throughout the year (sessions are in the dropdown menu below).
By the end of the lesson, you should have approximately two to six pieces* that will be glazed and fired for you to keep. You might be able to produce anything from a couple of competent dip bowls to a wonky ashtray. For those who have come from out of town, we can mail the pieces for an additional fee.
The session includes a sumptuous grazing platter of local produce – cold cuts, cheeses, organic fruit and nuts, homemade dips, gourmet crackers, and freshly baked pita bread. We pair our platters with wines from the wider region - try a wonderfully refreshing rosé, award-winning sauvignon blanc, or in colder weather, a pinot noir. A pot of tea is always on the boil here too.
Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.
Aprons and towels are provided – we advise wearing comfortable clothing and sensible shoes.
Please get in touch if you have a group of five or more and would like to book a private session.
* Occasionally, pieces do not survive the firing process. We cannot, therefore, guarantee you will receive all your pieces made on the day.
