Feldmark specialises in functional and art pottery.

We also custom make ceramic tableware for restaurants and design stores.

Gallery

The gallery showcases a variety of the finely crafted ceramics made at the adjacent pottery. It is open Wednesday to Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm.

Studio

The pottery also functions as a ceramic school, with term classes and short taster classes on weekends.

Feldmark Pottery is the new home of Andrei Davidoff, who since 2012 has been practicing full-time as a studio potter, ceramic artist and sculptor. Andrei is well known for creating custom designed ceramics for some of Australia's most loved and highly regarded restaurants, as well as design stores across the country.

Andrei initially established his practice in Melbourne and relocated to Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales in early 2021. Feldmark Pottery was born from this change in location – the name Feldmark is Norwegian for ‘mountain field’. Also, feldspars are key ingredients in clay bodies and glazes, while mark recalls the hand of the artist – the maker’s mark.

The functional ceramic pieces created by Feldmark pottery are predominantly wheel-thrown and are made from local clay. The pottery is open to the public for sales and for the curious.

Andrei completed his Master’s in Fine Arts at RMIT University in 2012 and regularly exhibits at galleries across Australia.

Feldmark, also spelled fjaeldmark, from Norwegian for 'mountain field'. The scientific term for a plant community found in alpine locations.

Feldspars are key ingredients in clay bodies and glazes.

To Mark is to make a visible impression.
