Feldmark Pottery offers four pottery classes a week in Term 3 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm.
We recommend Thursday night classes to those who have no previous experience in ceramics. However, every class is available to beginners as each project is tailored to individual skill level.
Over 8 weeks, you will be learning how to make vessel forms on the pottery wheel by working on two projects.
These classes cater to various skill levels, from beginner to experienced, and teach the fundamentals of wheel-throwing. Students learn to prepare clay, shape forms, apply surface treatments like glazes, and the kiln-firing process. The goal is to develop technical and creative skills, allowing students to create their own ceramic pieces over the course of the term.
Skill Development:
Students learn various techniques, including:
Wheel-throwing: Using a pottery wheel to create forms like bowls, mugs, and other vessels.
Clay Preparation: Techniques like wedging to remove air bubbles and improve clay consistency.
Finishing: Applying decorative techniques, glazes, and underglazes for surface treatments.
Firing: Understanding the process of kiln-firing to make fired ceramic objects.
All equipment and clay is provided in the term fee, as is 4kg of fired clay.
Our Term 3 classes will commence on 20 July 2026. Please see the timetable below for more details.
To make things a little easier, we offer a flexible payment plan for our classes. Select payment plan option during the booking process here online.
A 25% deposit ($135) is required at the time of booking to secure your place. The remaining balance is then paid in four equal fortnightly instalments of $101.25, which will be automatically direct debited from your nominated account.
If you have any questions about the payment plan, please get in touch, we're happy to help.
We understand that plans can change!
As our classes have limited places and are often fully booked, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or non-attendance.
If you're no longer able to attend, you're welcome to transfer your booking to a friend or family member. Simply arrange the transfer yourself and send us an email with the new attendee's name so we can update our records.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the studio!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
